Xchanges Artist Studios

Xchanges’ affordable studios are rented on a per square foot basis. Some studios are individual and other are shared. Rent includes hydro, shared facilities and 24 hour/7 day accessibility.

Xchanges currently houses numerous artists in 9 individual and group studios, a gallery, and a cooperative photography studio and dark room. All studio space artists must be willing to become a member of Xchanges and actively participate in the artist-run-centre by attending meetings and sharing the workload of the centre. Facilities

Xchanges’ facilities include:

• two gender-neutral washrooms
• shared kitchenette with fridge and microwave
• a small wood working area with basic tools
• storage area for life drawing easels and seats
• lights available for photographing artwork
• limited parking is available (5 spots)
• secure bike lock area
• secure entrance gate
• accessible by two flights of stairs (no elevator)
• free WiFi access
• landline telephone for local calls
