Rain Cabana-Boucher

Distance

Xchanges is pleased to announce the opening of Rain Cabana-Boucher’s solo exhibition entitled Distance on Friday, September 10th from 7-9pm. Covid protocols are in place for proof of vaccination, masks and social distancing.

Distance is a multi-media exploration of familiarity, self-location, and the occupation of land. Through various sculptures, paintings, and beaded works Michif artist Rain Cabana-Boucher delves into ideas of kinship in relation to land, and what it means to be an Indigenous artist occupying and creating on lands that are not your own. Non-social opening on Friday, September 10th, 7pm-9pm. The exhibition continues on weekends until September 26, 2021.

This exhibition is part of the national Culture Days celebration. More information can be found here: https://culturedays.ca
