Graham Wiebe – Wait here while I slip into something more comfortable

Xchanges is excited to announce the opening of Graham Wiebe: Wait here while I slip into something more comfortable on Friday May 14, 2021 from 7:00pm-9:00pm. The exhibition runs Saturday/Sundays until May 30th.

Using satire to explore themes of solace, this work includes both images and objects (and just a hint of gothic) as a way of navigating feelings of seclusion in a time of anxious encounters.

Graham Wiebe (b. 1994, Winnipeg, MB) lives and works in Victoria, BC, Canada. He received his B.F.A. (Hons) Degree at the University of Manitoba and his MFA at the University of Victoria. In 2015, Wiebe won the AIMIA AGO Scholarship Prize, exhibiting a selection of work at the Art Gallery of Ontario (Toronto, ON) and has since exhibited in alternative spaces, galleries, and artist-run centers both nationally and internationally. Wiebe most recently was part of the group exhibition TUTORIAL at BSMNT Gallery (Leipzig, DE).
