“Trousseau”, from the old French (trousse, or bundle): ‘the possessions a bride assembles in a hope chest for her wedding, often consisting of clothing, linens, china and jewelry.’

Rebekah Johnson’s light-based sculpture examines what else might have been put in the hope chest with the linens: fear? anticipation? hope? love?
