Migration #1 is a video collage of Vancouver commuters walking across a glass-enclosed overpass between two skytrain stations. The commuters function in a space that is neither here nor there. They are ultimately going to and coming from another place and this glass-enclosed walkway represents only a transient space; it is no one’s destination.

Laura Dutton is a photo / video artist whose work investigates the subjectivity involved in the act of seeing. Her new work, “Migration,” is a series of video installations exploring movement through space and the passing of time.
