John Luna presents an installation of recent work, including painting, paper-maché sculpture, drawings and photographs. Luna’s work reflects domestic and studio routines, drawing connections between cycles of accumulation and debt, and broader patterns of desire and waste. His shell-like relief pieces challenge conventional notions of paintings hanging in the gallery space while also referencing a rich tradition of associating shells with narratives of shelter, burial and creative renewal.
