Phyllis Schwartz and Edward Peck

Apeiron

September 8 to 24, 2023

Xchanges Gallery is thrilled to announce the opening on September 8, 2023 of Phyllis Schwartz and Edward Peck’s photo exhibition, Apeiron.

Apeiron is a photo-based exhibition depicting life in a small prairie agricultural community on a vast landscape. The two artists engage in a visual dialogue about their perceptions of geography, history, economic hardship, and multifaceted culture. This exhibition invites viewers to immerse themselves in the environment and the emotions these images of prairie life evoke.

About the Artists

After graduating from Emily Carr University, Schwartz received the Canon Photography award. Peck studied photography, fine arts, conceptual art, historical techniques, film, and literature at the University of British Columbia. Together, they collaborate on publishing, curatorial, and photography projects, and they recently were artists in residence at Wallace Stegner House in Eastend, Saskatchewan.
