We looked up the Chinese Zodiac to see what was in store for Xchanges this year and we are thrilled to learn that this is the Year of the Metal Ox which forecasts good fortune & hard work for 2021 – we’ve definitely been doing that! The Ox is a durable and steady animal and the year of the Metal Ox and marks a year of luck, ambition and relationships. The 3 lucky colours are white – corresponding to metal, as well as yellow and green, corresponding to the ox symbol, attracting success and wealth into our lives this year.
Well, the predictions of the Metal Ox seem to be coming true: we are so lucky to have Andy Shutse Lou as a member of Xchanges who wants to help us increase our good fortune with a fabulous donation of 10 art works by 9 Contemporary Chinese artists!
This fundraising auction will help raise much needed funds toward our feasibility study, a capital campaign, and planning for Xchanges future. You can help us reach our target ($3,000) by bidding on these works or making a direct donation today.
All auction items have the minimum bid posted – this is the Fair Market Value. Successful bidders may be able to receive Charitable Tax Receipts if the final bid amount is at least 125% over the Fair Market Value. An official Charitable Tax Receipt will be emailed or mailed to all successful bidders. The Auction officially kicks off at the Members Exhibition Opening on December 3, 2021 and closes at midnight on December 31, 2021. Reproduction posters of the works will be on display with QR codes to look up the information and make live bids.
