Xchanges is excited to be part of Culture Days 2020 this year and we are celebrating with a variety of FREE programs to keep you busy and creative! This event runs from September 25-October 25th and features in-person (with Covid safety protocols), online, self-guided, and recorded events that you can take in any time during the month.
Culture Days is a national celebration of arts and culture, taking place annually at the end of each September—the event has thousands of free, participatory arts and culture events in hundreds of communities across Canada.
Visitors to Culture Days events can expect to get hands-on and behind-the-scenes as they discover the world of artists, creatives, and storytellers. Read more about Culture Days and the organization’s work year-round here.
In 2020, many more Culture Days programs will happen through online engagement and digital platforms and/or take a Do-It-Yourself approach, bringing us new ways to engage with arts and culture in a time of crisis.
Anyone can participate in Culture Days. Event organizers hail from the full spectrum of cultural creators—from grassroots community volunteers and independent artists, to major arts, culture, and heritage institutions—and there’s always room for more!
Xchanges will be featuring four events to start with and we hope to also Live Stream our Zoom events on our Facebook.
