“Reflections on Service”, a series of portraits and other paintings by Eva Campbell of Canadian Forces people who were serving or had served in Afghanistan and other contemporary deployments, exploring the role they play in Canadian culture and history. Campbell interprets the juxtaposition of the people and the technology, uniforms and work gear they use and how this reflects identity and subjectivity.
