“Pillar of Smoke” is a narrative painting series that describes a disjointed post-modern mythology. It follows the journey of the Ghost Child, a cloaked melancholic figure trapped in an ever-changing environment that shifts between the metaphysical and the abstract. Using layered surfaces and repetitive symbols the Ghost Child traverses its environment confronting themes of isolation, loss, and environmental change.

Viewers are invited to enter the story with their own interpretation of the implied narratives, while seeing them through the lens of their own experiences.
