Going To/Coming From presents a body of work that explores the transitional notions of space and the temporary nature of geographical identity. Interior/exterior/micro/macro/outer space converge in a gallery context, laying ground for inquiry.

How can one live in two places at the same time? Is it possible to inhabit distance? Perhaps our experience of distance is not one of habitation but rather one of embodiment. Rojas Chaves’ work ranges from video- to photo-installation and is informed by his experience of living between Victoria and San Jose as well as his encounter with fellow immigrants in Canada.
