Abe Murley's exhibition of new oil paintings at Xchanges tweaks the traditional genre of the group portrait. The paintings are medium to large scale compositions populated by friends and family of the artist. Interior spaces and the inhabitants are arranged with intent disregard (if not contempt) for the way things "should" be and explore some of the many alternatives to being right.
