Spirit Within Form

Spirit Within Form is an energetic series of en plein air landscape oil paintings of the entire coastline of Vancouver Island, plus a few locations from the interior. It is a journey of explorations, a quest to find unknown beauty.

Typical shapes and forms of the natural world give the oil paintings a sense of familiarity while the atypical, vibrant colours create a discordance with reality allowing viewers to be taken beyond the physical realm.

Spirit Within Form is a tribute to the natural world, a way of saying thank you to the creator/s of this magnificence. The exhibition tunes into the beauty, harmony, and spirit of the Earth with the intention of eliciting a sense of beauty, harmony, and spirit within those whom view the exhibited works.
