Word Speak/Image Speak

Opening: Saturday, December 01, 1:00–8:00 pm
2–3 pm: artists' talks,
4–5 pm: poetry readings, and
7–8 pm: champagne show launch

Ground Zero Printmakers’ annual members’ exhibition, “Word Speak/Image Speak”, highlights the interplay of words and images in print-based works. GZP member artists will present etchings, woodcuts, monoprints, handmade books, sculpture, and more with their unique interperetations of this thought-provoking theme.

The Opening reception, events, and open house will take place on Saturday, December 1, 2007, from 1–8 p.m. at Xchanges Artists’ Gallery and Studios, 420 William St. in Vic West.

During opening day only, the GZP printmaking studio and several member’s studios will be open to the public, with hands-on printmaking in the printmaking studio — try it out! There will be artists’ talks from 2–3 p.m., poetry readings from 4–5 p.m., and a champagne show launch at 7 p.m. Handmade artists’ cards, gift tags, and unframed prints (suitable for seasonal gift-giving!) will also be on sale in the Green Room throughout the exhibition.

The exhibition and print sale continue through December 16, Saturdays and Sundays, 1–4 p.m.
