Victoria artist Ho Tam's desire to photograph as many people as possible has resulted in an extensive collection of snapshot portraits. His photographs represent various communities and are staged in a wide range of public spaces.

Arranged in sets covering the walls of the gallery, Ho's portraits become an ethnographic study of society. Each photograph documents the personae of the "poser" as they perform in front of the camera, while transforming their image into commodities for consumption in the globalized economy.
